i had loads of fun styling the autumn-winter campaign for singapore cult label reckless ericka, mainly because i am a huge fan of their cutting-edge, sharply constructed yet fluidly-exaggerated pieces. i have been collecting reckless since their inaugural collection in 2009, and have accumulated quite a fabulous stash.

the AW2013/14 collection is inspired by a misc-en-scene in the film “the grey” starring liam neeson, and draws upon the idea that there is no clear victory in the relationship between humans and nature. dark and gloomy indeed, reflected in the harsh colour palette of greys, deep navy and forest green, with accents of a tribal weave.

the collection was launched this week to a small group of their most die-heart fans ( including the awesome indie band “the sam willows” and musician / show producer bryan gamboa ), who had first dibs on the pieces, and many of the limited edition pieces were sold out by the end of the evening ( i had, fortunately, already reserved mine during the photoshoot ).
