i was first acquainted with swedish menswear label J Lindeberg during new york fashion week, when there was a huge buzz surrounding their work with william rast. back then, although fascinated by the infusion of sports-tech into menwear, it just wasn’t cut right for my small asian frame.

fast forward to 2012 and the brand makes its first foray into singapore with a stand-alone store at mandarin gallery. working on that launch gave me the opportunity to be reintroduced to the label and it’s new, fashion-slim cuts in a wide palette of brilliant colours, all of which combine the technology of sports-fabrics into a collection of fashion-forward staples. i am, especially,  a fan of their golf-inspired checked slim trousers and well-crafted sports blazers.

J Lindeberg recently opened their second store in singapore, at suntec city, which is a consolidation of their men’s fashion, men’s golf and women’s sport ranges all under one roof. again, working on the launch gave my team and i a chance to pre-view their fall2013 collection, and i immediately fell in love with a certain cerulean sports jacket.

event producer bryan gamboa ( and trained chef ) had loads of fun creating a euro-centric menu, all reflecting the bright cheery colours of the collection.

and the instaprinta made an appearance at the event, allowing guests to take home their own curated memories of the event
