spent a lovely saturday morning with some friends from the calvin klein family when I hosted a style chat session with their global creative director for the platinum, white label, jeans and underwear divisions , and the american model who’s the face of the current campaign.

kevin carrigan is the charming british gentleman responsible for the unified seasonal design aesthetic , direction and product designs – including the fabrics and colour palette – for the various calvin klein categories he oversees.

kevin talked us through the key elements of the calvin klein jeans spring 2014 menswear & womenswear pieces, drawing attention to it’s brilliant unisex appeal, the tonal denims as well as the amazing, bespoke-esque quality of the cracked denim pieces, achieved by painstakingly hand painting each individual piece.

the invited guests were given personal styling tips by the effervescent mr carrigan, who also presented singapore musican, actor and former national swimmer benjamin kheng with his very own set of calvin klein duo tone undies.

campaign model matthew terry, fresh from an appearance the night before, at the #calvinkleinlive party, popped by for a chat a little later on, and shared his style tips and his personal thoughts on being selected as the face of the iconic brand, before wandering into the audience to pose for pictures with his besotted fans.
