one of the more fun projects my team and i worked on in september was the production and design of the autumn-winter fashion season for luxury singapore mall Paragon. it was akin to the coming together of friends, the result of a careful curation of design creatives, who collaborated with my team and i to conceptualise, design and style the set, the visuals and the shows.

set designer eucien ( whom i’d previously worked with on various theatrical productions ) created a massive runway that ascended to the upper reaches of the mall, clad in the warm tones of fall and the perfect setting for the collections that graced the stage.

the runway shows, produced by bryan gamboa and styled by audrey ong and sharon tan, and perfectly cast by casting director fairul shah, saw the likes of anteprima, karen millen, warehouse, adolfo dominquez and Max & Co showcasing their fall pieces. singapore supermodel vivien ong, back from new york for a fleeting visit, opened the season with a dramatic fur look by DKNY. the shows also saw appearances by asia’s next top model alumni, japanese model sofia wakabayashi, and MTV personality alan wong.

cardboard sculptor bartholomew ting of butter&milk created massive bunnies and squirrels for the children’s shows, transforming the wooded pathway into a surreal animal playground.

the folly store designed a beautiful setting for the tableaus, working with these giant cardboard bunnies and squirrels and a massive 4 metre horse to create a warm woodland setting for a romp through the fashion forest.
